Saint Ignatius of Loyola

Part I

“Teach us to give and not count the cost”
 - St. Ignatius of Loyola

Sir Inigo of Loyola had one mission: to be the greatest knight in all of Spain. And he was well on his way until a cannonball hit him in battle, breaking his leg. As he recovered from his injury, he read a book on the lives of the saints to quell his boredom, and with each turn of the page became more convicted of his mission in life: to become the greatest knight for Christ the world has ever known!

Part II

“Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you”
- St. Ignatius of Loyola

When we last left our story, Inigo’s leg was still healing, but he was on a mission. He mounted his horse and rode off to Jerusalem no longer in pursuit of personal glory, but in pursuit of Christ. Listen in to hear the story of a man who brought his best friends to Christ (and sainthood!) founded a religious order and wrote spiritual exercises that are still read and studied to this day!
